Botox can be used to treat a number of medical conditions and while using it cosmetically for the face, light to medium wrinkles and the lines under the eyes has been incredibly popular, there are several other causes for which it can be used:

It can be used on wrinkles that appear between the eyebrows.
It can be used to reduce or completely remove the horizontal lines that start appearing on the forehead.
It can help with the lines near the eyes, commonly known as crow’s feet and the lines on the sides of the nose known as bunny lines.
It can also help reduce muscle bands that tend to appear on the neck.
Certain doctors have also used Botox to reduce the wrinkles that appear on the lips.
It can be used to treat cervical dystonia, a condition in which there are severe spasms in the neck muscles as well as muscle spasms in other parts of the body.
It can be used to reduce hyperhidrosis or several sweating of the underarms.
It can be used to treat spasms of the eyelids.
It can also be used to treat bladders that are overactive and urine leakage.
Case studies have shown that these injections can help with severe migraines.

What are the benefits of Botox injections?

The idea behind using Botox is that it works on any kind of muscle spasms – if there is trouble contracting or redacting muscles, the injections can help. When the medication has been delivered in the correct manner and in precise dosage, the contractions will stop and this will reduce the appearance of fine lines, which in other words are known as wrinkles. These lines could be on any part of the face and the results will become visible within a few days’ time.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of using Botox is the fact that the results are temporary and hence cannot cause any long term damages. However, it is important that each of the injections is spaced properly, ideally 4-6 months apart.

How visible is the change?

The change will be very visible and the same should happen within 3-7 days, but you need to remember that the same will last only for a few months. After this, you will have to get another dose.
