There are several things that add to the confidence of a person, and while clothes and the ability to speak well are some of them, a great head of hair is certainly high on the list. However, with the lifestyles we all have these days, hair fall has become an issue for many; but there are many methods and tips of having healthy and longer hair, and that too, quite easily.

Here are several general and diet tips to grow your hair longer and healthier.

Tips for Healthier and Longer HAir

Use of Chemicals:

Certain methods have proven to be quite effective, when it comes to making hair grow faster and ensuring that you handle your tresses with care is the first one. Ascertain that you do not use extreme heat or harsh chemicals on a regular basis. In addition, do not use brushes or styling combs that tend to increase the breakage. Use bold teeth combs. The lesser hair that break, the more assured you can be that you will have more hair that will grow longer.

Eating Habits:

Eating healthy is yet another easy method of making sure that there is proper growth of healthy hair. Hair is essentially formed of keratin, and this being a protein, made from amino acids, can be obtained from food. Including ingredients such as eggs, meat and yoghurt in the daily diet, is a great way of guaranteeing that the body and scalp are healthy. And it is a recognised fact that only a healthy body and scalp can be grounds for beautifully thick hair!

Headwash:

There might be many people who would think that washing hair every day is the best way to keep them clean. However, this could not be further away from the truth – washing your hair every single day will wash away the natural oils present in the scalp too. Drier hair is more prone to breakage, which is why all experts will suggest that you wash your hair only twice or thrice in a week.

Oiling your Hair:

Each time you wash your hair, it would be a good idea to massage it, perhaps with some natural oils. Coconut and olive oil work best, but even a regular massage would be a great way to ensure hair growth, because the process stimulates the nerves in the scalp, which in turn allow for better growth. It is also important to trim hair on a regular basis. The damaged part of the hair tends to grow downwards and away from the root. However, if the tip is damaged, the entire hair would be considered unhealthy. By trimming away unhealthy tips, one can make sure that the hair grows long and strong.
