Is it safe to do a hair transplant when you have folliculitis?

AK Clinics | March, 11 2016 | 0 Comments

Que: I am 27 years old and am considering a hair transplant, because my hairline is receding by the week. Will a density of 45 grafts per square centimetre be enough for natural looking hair? I also have folliculitis on my scalp, which has been around since my early 20s and it has never really cleared up. Will that cause a hindrance to my hair transplant?

Ans: Ideally, you should visit a dermatologist first and get your folliculitis treated before going for a transplant. Once you are clear, you can go ahead and a density of 45 FU/cm2, in the hands of an experienced surgeon should give you really good results.
