Que: I started losing my hair, when I was just 20, and since then I have lost a lot of hair, especially from the front part of my head. I am not too keen for a hair transplant as of now. My father too has lost significant amount of hair, but his hair loss started only at 50. Today, he has more hair than me, which is embarrassing for me. I also suffer from a tingling sensation in my legs and I tend to sprain my legs quite easily. Could all this be connected to some sort of deficiency?

Ans: From what you are describing, it seems like you have male pattern baldness, but only a physical examination will provide confirmation of the same. The first line of treatment would be for you to meet a doctor and start with medical management of the condition. This would include some form of oral medication or topical solutions such as finasteride, Minoxidil or even plasma rich platelet therapy. If there is not much of a positive response to the same, then a hair transplant might be the only option. As for the tingling and the sprains in the leg, it would be a good idea to meet a specialist doctor for the same.
